So last night I attended the screening/premiere of a movie called Positive I did last year here in LA with Brazilian director Mario Amadeu. It was so nice to see the cast and the crew again. I can’t wait to work together with Mario again on future projects
Here’s a scene from the movie and a couple of pics from last night:
Yesterday my friend Lehang and I went to visit one of Venice’s cutest galleries. La Louver. It’s a must if you are in LA! One block away from the ocean in a gorgeous building you can indulge in work by super star David Hockney and the likes.
What I find fascinating about this artist, besides the obvious that he is extremely gifted and a master with colors, is the fact that he at 72 years has adapted into new technology and is now ‘painting’ on his computer. Not many artist do that. Most stick to their brush and canvas. Peter, the owner of the gallery and a very dear friend of David Hockney told us about the process. How the artist makes his sketches with charcoal and then does all colorings and further work on his computer.
Last night was a big night in LA. I was invited to a club opening, a red carpet event and French Tuesday’s birthday bash. I was especially looking forward to see the new club MyStudio and get a chance to dance.
But alas, I found myself stuck in work way over my head and had to turn all the parties down to make my deadlines. It sucked sitting in my PJs when everybody was out in their Dries van Noten and designer heels. But today I’m feeling good about it. This afternoon I have a producer meeting and tonight I’m attending the screening of a film that I shot last year. So I guess all is good in the hood.
And when I can’t go partying myself I can always snap some pictures of my girls Tanya & Annie before they go out…
Everybody wants to know what the next big thing is. And this time around I actually have a clue. Sooyeon Lee is the next big super star in the makes. The South Korean born natural beauty and table tennis champion, model and actress is making waves not only on the tennis court. She has Hollywood at her feet and she is booking commercials and acting gigs and campaigns left and right.
Watch out for this leggy stunner with the super-bly style and killer smile.
Here are some pictures I shot of Sooyeon the other day.
I have invited my friend Tanya Elizabeth to be guest blogger here today. She went to the music festival Coachella last weekend and has promised me to share her experience right here. Check it out!!!
Hello readers,
my name is Tanya Elizabeth and Im a close friend of Kristina Korsholm. Currently residing in sunny California. On a daily basis I’m a Student at, ‘The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising’, in the evening you can call me a night owl, on the prowl for the most exciting parties to be in Los Angeles. I love this city. Consider it my play ground.
This past weekend all of Los Angeles flocked over to Palm springs about 2 hours away in to the Desert. This was my first time in Palm Springs and my first time at, ‘Coachella Festival’.
The parties were amazing, especially the one held at Merv Griffin Estate, ‘Oasis’. The property is a mansion on a piece of land, surrounded by the natural beauty southern California has to offer. In the foreground, a lake reflects the snow filled peaks of the mountains, and around the estate the palm trees line up against the white fence. Everyone who was anyone was there. From Olympian Shaun White, to Paris Hilton, Alexander Wang,Will. I am. The Killers, Whitney Port the Wayans Brothers and of course Lindsay Lohan. She is everywhere.
We made it into the festival just in time to catch the rock band ‘Pavement’. Ran over to shed a few tears to, ‘Thom Yorke’ found our way over to rave to Electronic sensation, ‘Plastikman’ and finally chill out to some, ‘Gorillaz’. Majority of the attire was bikinis, bathing suits with Kaftans, loose shirts and shorts cowboy boots or combat boots. This years, ‘Coachella Festival’ was the first time the festival sold out. With a huge array of the worlds finest DJ’s(Such as David Guetta, Tiesto, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Benni Bennssi ( to name a few), to Rap sensation Jay-z, to rock genius Thom Yorke: there was a piece of music for everyone. The festival attracted all sorts of audiences, which, naturally, reflected interesting wardrobes.
A whirlwind of a trip, from laying by the pool drinking champagne, to being abandoned in the desert at a gas station, I’m happy to say I had the ultimate, ‘Coachella’ experience, being picked up in a all original 70’s vintage van and making it home in one piece.
