Just saw the new collection from Object and Tanya and I were like kids in a candy store.
I just flew in from NYC in the early am, totally stressed out about my living situation in LA, with a severe Summer cold from all the AC on flights between continents and countries and perhaps an admitted OD on a rock’n'roll lifestyle.
However, I managed to find a new home within 45 minutes yesterday morning, I paid my bills, unpacked, did laundry and dug out my old MAC (from where I’m writing right now. My laptop is still somewhere on the continent being repaired by Apple. That is why I have not been blogging lately. Sorry!). And after a shower and a little fun playing ‘dress-up’ in the new collection I was more than ready and happy to hit the Bardot Thursday Sessions by 10:30 pm. That is what I call one productive day.
Here are a couple of looks from Object’s new collection. Will shoot some more tomorrow in daylight.
Fashion & Accessories: Object, Chanel, Forever 21, Zara, Vintage
Nails: Chanel & Essie

That Tanya is soooo hot right now!!!!

This look is right up my alley when in LA. Boho chick, usable day and night and easy to move around in. I’d probably switch the handbag for a night out to a smaller purse.

Paris who…? haha
. Sorry…. No, I actually really like pink. And this jersey dress is great because it’s so easy and has the ‘Star Trek’ detailed shoulders.

Tanya channeling some serious Beyonce here. Sequin top with suede harem pants. Love it!

Even though I do not have an education from La Mer or La Prairie. I’m not even a beauty school drop out. But by birth I am given the most annoyingly sensitive skin and system, that gets affected by anything and everything. Food, stress, work conditions, weather. You name it. So I’m very alert to every little detail and change within, on and around me.
This might not make me a beauty expert on paper. But I know damn well if a creme works after you have been on a flight for 11 hours (since I fly all the time) or what scrub is best after 8 days in the jungle on a film location, or what eye relief to splatter on after a really ‘interesting’ and long night out on town.
So here it goes!
I tested these products from Nimue and I have to say that I’m pretty damn pleased with the result so far.
In the beginning my skin freaked out completely with breakouts, and I even had some weird itching going on. I almost dropped the whole thing. However, after a week using the line persistently my skin looks so much better and feels much softer, moist and clean than before.
My favorite product so far (I still have to try some of the masks) is the so called ‘Alpha Lipoic Activator’. Long name. I know. And in combination with the Purifying creme it does the job. I hate sounding like a beauty ad, but hands down; I’m only preaching the remedy I take myself.
You can probably find the products from Nimue online. But I got them at the spa I always visit when in Copenhagen called Dollface.
Actually, I’ve been contemplating doing an international Spa Guide between Copenhagen, NYC, Las Vegas and LA. Stay tuned for that.
‘Till then, here are the products I’ve been testing:

My favorite product!!! I use it twice a day and especially good around the eyes. You are only supposed to use it 3 times a week. I definitely overused it. But it’s such a treat!!!!

This baby is a bit harsh, but it goes very well with the serum in blue tube above. It’s a creme. Use this one first and then apply the serum from the blue tube on top and you will be fine the rest of the day.

Cleanser and toner. Not rocket science. Not even for me. I like the cleanser a lot. it does the job. Gets rid of all the dirt and makeup in no time. The toner is a bit harsh, but good after a long day out in a big, poluted city like for instance NYC or LA.
Enjoy!!!

Fashion week is upon us and despite rain or shine the shows most go on. Which they did……This August was crazily wet and made it really ‘interesting’ to get around town. The usual easy and laid-back bike ride from show to show was just not happening this season.
And the way to fashion designer Stine Goya’s show was no different. Monsoon rain was hammering down outside while we were audience to the most beautiful and intimate scenography created by Oliver Gustav. The make up was beautiful and simple and the accessories by Sophie Bille Brahe were insanely gorgeous and big.
Goya’s clothes were cool as usual, but not surprisingly amazing like we are used to with this particular designer. Stine Goya is one of the most beautiful and talented women I know and she has kept the world in anticipation every season. I was not completely mind blown by every style this season, but I adored one particular jumpsuit with bugs on it.

Model Tina, backstage after the show in Goya’s collection and Bille Brahe’s accessory. Can’t get over the fact that Tina and I used to share an apartment in Vienna when we were with Elite Model Management down there… damn girl! Those were the days

Introducing: Miss Marie Graunboel
Not only an avid writer with her stilettos deeply rooted in the fashion industry. Marie is also an editor, stylist, radio journalist and model. Marie is a good, old friend of mine from Copenhagen and I’ve asked her to guest blog for me a couple of times during Copenhagen Fashion Week.
This is what she has to say about Danish Designer Karen Simonsen:
Elegant as ever!
After her spilt with partner Naja Munthe, Danish designer Karen Simonsen has finally found her own creative voice. A small tent in Rosenburg’s Garden packed with local celebrities and impeccably dressed fashionistas was the informal yet beautiful setting for her third show. Here the designer embraced a new notion of elegance sending out her most interesting collection to date, full of effortlessly chic jackets, slouch-pocket pants and oversize, boyish shirts. Stand-out items included a drop-dead gorgeous brocade dress that I can easily see myself in on the first day of spring 2011!

It’s true! Danish Summer weather is predictable!!!
You can always count on rain when outdoors events are happening. Like today – first day of fashion week in Copenhagen. I started out nicely and stress-fully with a ‘beep’ load of emails and phone calls. But not all glamorous regarding fashion week or my movies in Hollywood. No-no. I have gotten myself involved with my father’s conference about artificial life and living technology, which is being held here in Denmark for the first time ever end of August. My father is a professor in physics who is developing and creating so called ‘artificial life’ and living technology. He is also hosting the event.
I’m helping out in the communication department with the writing, editing bit so we - ‘the normal’ people can understand what’s going on. Not a very fashionable job, but actually very interesting. Living technology is our future and only a fool stays ignorant about the next big thing.
Then, it was time to copy-cat Rihanna and get some serious Minx on my nails. I visited Silkyway at Dollface since she’s the only one I know who does a hell of a job here in Copenhagen when it comes to nails and especially Minx.
And if you are not familiar with Minx yet. Get to it! It’ the instant future of nails. I got the silver/gold leopard version done on my hands and feet. Sooooo ‘Las Vegas’!
here are a couple of shots from tonight…

Just got some new shots I did with master photographer Max DiBiaggio in NYC. There are many to choose from and I only have them in really low res. But you’ll get the picture of his style from these 3 shots.
Max is a genius with light. Truly! And I always love to work with him.
We did some video in July as well. Can’t wait to show you the result when he is done with the editing.
Also, some of our work will show in an Italian Magazine soon. I will publish it here when I’m granted permission by the publishers in Rome.

It is the weirdest thing. This time when I got into NYC and was anticipating the crazy, warm sensation rolling over me that I usually get when I cross the Williamsburg Bridge entering Manhattan from JFK. The joyous madness of being in love with the city that never sleeps and all it has to offer. However, something was different this time. And it wasn’t the cab, the smell, the July heat or the city lights from the concrete jungle. No, it was me. My feelings were different…. I didn’t feel the jolt in my belly or recognize the instant smile I usually get on my lips when in the Empire State. Can this really be? Is it possible that my undeniable passion for NYC is cooling off like day old, luke-warm water?
I sort of kept this discovery to myself the first couple of days. I mean, who wants to be out of love with the coolest city in the world? And I lost myself in work and the beach and high-life in The Hamptons. Now, back again in the city working and playing like I was paid to do so (which I am ha ha… Man, I feel blessed)… I’m contemplating again. Have I become the unspeakable? Have I joined the enemy and left the cool pack and become one of ‘those’… I can hardly utter the word here in Manhattan. ‘A Los Angeles lover’….????? I wasn’t sure about this new ambivalent state of mind I found myself in, which used to be a crystal clear ‘Empire State of Mind. Have I fallen out of love with the man of my dreams??????
this was the question that I kept asking myself since I arrived late Saturday night. But then something happened.
This morning I went down to the street to pick up my single shot skim latte and a tea for my friend and I got a little lost in the neighborhood. Soon I found myself wandering the area around University, 5th ave and East 11th street debating, which coffee shop to pay a visit. The weather today is overcast, mild and feels like a bliss after 5 days of 100 degrees merciless heatwave. And right there on the corner of University and East 11th street it struck me like lightning. I fell in love all over again. Hard, passionate and sensational!!! Just like I remembered it. NYC is still the hottest thing I ever involved myself with. I might like LA and love the lifestyle and my work on the West Coast. Trust me – I do. But NYC and I will always be an item no matter how involved I get with LA or any other city on the planet.
To celebrate my rekindling flame I’ve decided to pay my favorite Spa a visit – The one and only Miss Christine Chin – to get a deluxe facial. Later I’m meeting my girls for dinner and debauchery since I’m not working tomorrow. yay!!
Here are a couple of shots from last night’s shoot and other random NYC stuff….

I paid my favorite NYC hairdresser Mazja a visit down at Arrojo Studio on 180 Varick . On Thursday’s before 4 pm they have ‘bring a friend day and get half-off’. So my old NYC friend Jeff and I decided to test it out. This shot is taken just before Mazja transformed my haystack of hair into something looking more healthy and groomed. Thanks girl!

Sipping wine and touching up between takes from last night’s shoot on location in Jersey with Max. Oh and check out how healthy my hair looks

…more mirror stuff….

Tine & I at restaurant Lion. The people behind The Waverly Inn opened this restaurant recently. The food, wine, crowd and ambience is impeccable. All I can say is: When in NYC, go there!

Up at 6:30 am…wowza! Is this early rising becoming a habit of mine all of a sudden?
This morning I had my private acting lesson in Santa Monica and after my teacher helped me film an audition I have for a feature film. It’s a pretty big project and I really like the script so I was kind of nervous driving there. And of course LA morning traffic doesn’t help the spirit. What’s up with that anyways? Grid lock that early in the a.m. going west on the I10 should just not be legal.
Well, the lesson with Anthony – my teacher – was amazing and hard work as usual. Searching for truth and only expressing truth every moment seems simple, but it isn’t. Try it for yourself.
Then I hit home for a bite and 10 pages from a script that I have to finish tomorrow buy noon. Then on the road again, en route to Downtown where I was walking in a fashion show for a Japanese designer. An experience to put it mildly. I’ve never been to Tokyo, only Osaka, but I’m getting the idea from tonight’s show…haha… damn that’s intense!
Let me break it down: Goth meets Cyber-space pixie, meets sexy dominatrix diva, meets Twilight teens under a blue moon…
I had aprox 6 feet of metallic wire in my hair to make it stand in a Pippi Longstocking-ish way. 2 bottles of hairspray and so much white powder in my face and glue in my eyebrows that they will never look the same again… But it was fun!!!
I’m wearing: Zara cardigan, Object top with studs, Dolce&Gabbana hotpants, Steve Madden sandals

Tonight Tanya & I was doing a shoot with artist Aaron Axelrod. Aaron is a super talented and fierce up and coming young artist who lives here in Hollywood. His work shows from Paris to LA and Aaron is represented by the same art gallery as legendary David LaChapelle. So if you don’t know Aaron by now check out his work. No doubt, he is going to be huge.
So what was the shoot about? Well basically about having a good time, party, chill and see where the mood would take us… and well… it took us places…. ha haha. These are just random ‘behind the scene shots’ and ‘around the camera shots’. Next week Aaron will make selections and then start painting the ones he likes.
