Ok. It is official! my laptop died today….
I had to hand it in to the MAC store in Soho, NYC. The boys in their bright blue cotton t-shirts at the so called `Genius Bar’ in the Apple Store in Spring Street had no idea what was wrong with my confidente AKA the silver Mac Book Pro. So, with a smile and a New York accent they took my baby out of my hands and left me and my empty Louis Vuitton handbag at the counter. Lonely and sad. No, actually devastated and depressed is a better description. 3-5 days to fix it. That’s what they said, the `New York Apple Genius boys’. Uuughhh!!!!
So, this blogging is happening from my dear master photographer friend Christel B’s monster of a computer. She is out and about town tonight while I just got back into town today after an amazing weekend in Bridge Hamptons and Montauk. Much damage was done and I’m still licking my wounds after a really fun and rock’n'roll weekend…
I don’t know what it is. But The East Coast Beach Houses and peeps just have so much more class (or is it attitude…?) than the West Coast ditto. (I guess I’m mostly comparing NYC to LA right now since ~ San Francisco is a completely different animal than LA). I think it’s because the East Coast has a much bigger diversity of people from different industries that mix at social events. It’s not only entertainment meets entertainment like in LA. And the sense of humor is also way different between East Coast and West Coast.
However, the true ‘Blue blood New Yorkers’ is also a very snobbish and a peculiar pack of inbreeds. I think that the term ‘ If a look could kill’ was invented by someone who got stared down by a New York woman in 6 inch heels and a 20 inch waist. I have never tried anything as daunting as this look. A mean demeanor. Intimidation just reached a whole new level. But I guess it’s because some of these New Yorkers know their shit. They have been around the block 40 times and don’t have time for bullshitters. So I don’t blame them. But I also find it fun and ridiculous with these mind games and social games. Because at the end of the day, seriously! Who gives!!?? I only judge people by the way they react to their circumstances and how they treat their surroundings. Blood, breed, religion and money never really caught my interest.
Anyhow… Here is a small selection of my Hamptons pics.

Hell yeah!

Leaving Ibiza was hard. Period. Could definitely have used a couple of days more on the beautiful island. But work calls. So I’m Copenhagen bound as we speak. But luckily we had the whole day at The Blue Marlin chilling on sun beds and doing the infamous long lunch before we took it directly to the airport. I’m still wearing my bikini under my tunic and I have sand in unspeakable areas.
Right now, I’m stuck in Las Palmas waiting for my connecting flight to Scandi Candy land. A fog this morning in Mallorca has delayed all the air traffic a couple of hours. But it’s all good in the hood. Tine and I are relaxing in the lounge with snacks and wine already planning our next meeting in NYC during fashion week or maybe in LA in October.
Here are a couple of more pics in random order from the last couple of days…

It’s my last night here in Ibiza and I’m devastated. I could stay here at least one month. This island is addicting. The sea, the people, the restaurants, the clubs and chilled ambience is right up my alley.
I’m staying here with an amazing crowd from all over the world. The last couple of days have been an abundance of top dinners, fun parties, clubs, long lunches, boat trips and some work. What I love about the time we live in now is, that it’s possible to do these trips where you are having the time of your life while still working. I feel extremely blessed to be in a spot where this is possible. It gives me a sense of freedom and joi de vivre that’s beyond.
And Ibiza is way more than crazy drugged out people, trance and Pacha. It has a beauty that is striking and it makes me want to come back for more. And more…
Tomorrow I’m going back to Copenhagen for one day. Then I’m participating in my father’s conference in Odense about Artificial Life and Living Technology (talk about a change of scenery) and Wednesday I’m off to NYC. I’m researching for my next book.
Here are a few pics. I will share more, when I have time. We just got back from a boat trip to Formentera and now we are going to dinner.

What can I say….
The most amazing day in the most amazing company. Breakfast, lunch, swimming, lounging, massage, working a bit and making new friends….. And dinner is served in one hour where after Pacha awaits. Yes, we need one night at the infamous club to show David Guetta some love. No doubt.
I have not so much to say today…. I want to go down and change before people arrive at the house for the dinner party. More tomorrow.
here is a glimpse of the chilled Ibiza lifestyle when it’s best …

Even though I do not have an education from La Mer or La Prairie. I’m not even a beauty school drop out. But by birth I am given the most annoyingly sensitive skin and system, that gets affected by anything and everything. Food, stress, work conditions, weather. You name it. So I’m very alert to every little detail and change within, on and around me.
This might not make me a beauty expert on paper. But I know damn well if a creme works after you have been on a flight for 11 hours (since I fly all the time) or what scrub is best after 8 days in the jungle on a film location, or what eye relief to splatter on after a really ‘interesting’ and long night out on town.
So here it goes!
I tested these products from Nimue and I have to say that I’m pretty damn pleased with the result so far.
In the beginning my skin freaked out completely with breakouts, and I even had some weird itching going on. I almost dropped the whole thing. However, after a week using the line persistently my skin looks so much better and feels much softer, moist and clean than before.
My favorite product so far (I still have to try some of the masks) is the so called ‘Alpha Lipoic Activator’. Long name. I know. And in combination with the Purifying creme it does the job. I hate sounding like a beauty ad, but hands down; I’m only preaching the remedy I take myself.
You can probably find the products from Nimue online. But I got them at the spa I always visit when in Copenhagen called Dollface.
Actually, I’ve been contemplating doing an international Spa Guide between Copenhagen, NYC, Las Vegas and LA. Stay tuned for that.
‘Till then, here are the products I’ve been testing:

My favorite product!!! I use it twice a day and especially good around the eyes. You are only supposed to use it 3 times a week. I definitely overused it. But it’s such a treat!!!!

This baby is a bit harsh, but it goes very well with the serum in blue tube above. It’s a creme. Use this one first and then apply the serum from the blue tube on top and you will be fine the rest of the day.

Cleanser and toner. Not rocket science. Not even for me. I like the cleanser a lot. it does the job. Gets rid of all the dirt and makeup in no time. The toner is a bit harsh, but good after a long day out in a big, poluted city like for instance NYC or LA.
Enjoy!!!

All the fabulous fashion shows and parties aside; This afternoon on a blessed rooftop in Copenhagen was one of the best moments during fashion week so far. No doubt! And surely a moment I will remember and cherish during the dark and cold nights in LA. Wait a minute. We don’t have cold nights in The Sunshine State ha ha
. Anyways, It was a beautiful Danish afternoon in beautiful Danish company…

I pulled the plug, left Copenhagen and went up north to spend some time with my family and to celebrate my grand father’s 80’s birthday.
So this whole weekend has been all about making food, drinking tons of good wine and listening to old stories about ‘back in the days’. I’m actually pretty exhausted by now. How weird? It almost feels like my LA lifestyle is a holiday compared to the NYC and European life I lead …. Also, my family likes to party till last man standing. Often with Rolling Stones and Eagles on the sound system. I guess the love for the rock star lifestyle runs in the family…
However, I will not show any rock star picture (for a change), but a couple of shots from my weekend with the family so far.
Tomorrow morning I’m headed back into the city. Fashion Week is awaiting and I need to dig out my heels and my new Jimmy Choo handbag before I hit ‘Fashion Central’
Tar tar ’till then kids!

My grand father. How cool is this shot? He looks like an old school gangster reaching for his gun.

My sister and her husband just returned from their honeymoon and they brought their dog Tiger Lilly a present…. A sailor outfit… he he

What’s up sailor?

I totally dig the hat!

My other sister just got a kitten. I think we are naming her Avatar

Got into the neck of my woods Copenhagen late last night and was greeted with light showers and an overcast sky.. ha ha… why am I not surprised. This is Danish Summer after all. But seriously, I don’t mind a little water. After 14 days of blasting sun in Greece I’m ready for a change of scenery. And as everyone knows; No Rain, No Rainbows….
So, flipping through a couple of my photos from the vacation, here is little selection from one of the local beaches we visited:
Let me present: My super model sister Felicia and my super scientist father Steen creating ‘The Big Blue’ …
PS – We kayaked all the way out to the rocky island you can spot in the background. It was a pretty intense rowing experience.

Last night I got this fantastic flower from the local bar guy where I’ve been hanging out whenever I try to connect to the ‘outer’ world via wireless. He wanted to say a proper goodbye and picked this beauty from a cactus, which apparently blossoms very seldom. At least that’s what he told me. I guess it was kind of an honor. And seriously, I have to confess that flowers does something for me. I know it’s not modern or cool or anything, but I get really weak and giddy when I recieve flowers. Especially rare ones. They are so tender and their beauty is so fragile…. Yes, it’s official! I am a true romantic at heart.
My father was with me last night and we walked home together and shot a couple of photos in the sensuous Mediterranean night…

I’ve been feeling rather guilty during the last couple of days. The nagging feeling in my tummy has been haunting me and not allowing me any peace for a while.
Then today, when I had some time alone I tried to break it down. I’m in Greece where the sun is shining from a cloudless sky. The Ocean is cyan blue and when the water gets to salty I can jump into a refreshing swimming pool big enough to swim swim laps. Citrus fruits, ripe and ready to pick right off the trees planted on the roadside are avail 24-7. Gorgeous, Greek Adonis, Nicolaus and Dimitris are spotted prancing the beaches and on the dirt roads in the tiny village where we live showing off a statuesque beauty in a sexy ‘farmer boy type of way’. Pretty much a sight for any sore female eye. The food here is rich, fresh and addictive.
Yes, it’s true! Life in The Greek Islands is unbearably beautiful. And I guess I feel guilty because I get to have all this and I get to be this happy and I get to share it with 2 family members that I rarely see because we live in opposite parts of the World on a daily basis. But today I claim it. I claim the happiness and the joie de vivre that I feel. And I wish I could share it with everyone I know.
Today I’m officially turning the more cynical POV known as Milan Kundera’s ‘Unbearable Lightness of Being’ into my own personal and lighthearted ‘Bearable Lightness of Being’.
