Saturday I came down with the worst flu I’ve had since I was a little girl. 4 days of on-and-off fever and still counting. WTF!???!!
This was supposed to be my holidays with the family in Scandi Candy Land. Time to relax. Not to mention all the meetings that I had lined up that are not going to happen. It sucks.
But faced with the fact that I had to stay in bed I found there’s only one thing to do: Begin to watch movies and TV shows that I haven’t watch in years. My SATC compilation is in LA – it sucks!!! But actually, I came across this new Danish TV show, which is really fun. It has the absurd impossible title ‘Manden med de Gyldne Ører’ – ‘The Man with the Golden Ears’. So very clichée about the music bizz, but just what I need now. Fun, no strings attached and easy entertainment!!!
Yup yup people! It’s the first of November and the Sunday after Halloween. Everybody is sleeping or trying to cope with hangovers while I’m busy bee writing on a treatment for a TV show and prepping to go to an audition for a feature film later today.
Nothing glamorous about my life these days …. mostly sitting in my BF’s boxers and a wife beater top writing, sweating (it’s 90 outside), drinking instant coffee and contemplating how crazy it is that I’m going on an Indian Meditation Retreat on Wednesday morning for 10 days.
1-0 days where I will obey the ‘noble silence ‘ and not speak, communicate with anybody or make any sounds. I will get up at 4 am and meditate 10 hours a day….. Artistic pause…..!!!!! 1-0 hours…….
It’s not in India though. (Unfortunately) It’s right here in Cali. 4,5 hours drive north of LA. Funny thing is my little sister is doing the exact same course in India starting today. How extraordinary is that….???? We will probably connect on some higher spiritual level…
The first time I meditated I got a panic attack, but I’m all about facing your demons and if not becoming friends with them then at least getting to be acquainted with them …. Who wants to get rid of their demons? They are great and very helpful to have around when you are an actor. They can help you reach really crazy highs and lows so I’m embracing them and the angels just have to deal with that. Period!
I also just read the first couple of scenes from my next feature film ‘Theft by Deception’ (working title) and it looks like a lot of fun. I will play Olivia an art loving rich socialite. We are shooting up in Morro Bay in beginning December. That’s all I want to disclose for now…
Gotta run! Hoping to hit the gym before my audition. I’ve been a bad girl and skipped the exercise too many times this week.
Hank Moody, Karen & Co from one of my fave shows Californication is back tonight and I’m psyched!!!
Hank is the kind of guy who gets away with murder because he is so incredibly charming. Some days I wanna smack him across the face, lock him up, put the sucker in a test tube and let female doctors study him. The ambition is to discover a cure for this kind of evil and save our daughters from broken hearts, disillusions about love and various undiscovered sexual diseases that Mr. Moody must be carrying around with him by now.
And then again other days I can’t help myself and I want to have his 5 unborn babies.
Am I the only one who has a needle in the vein? When I first encountered Gossip Girl I was mortified over the bad writing and cliché lines. However, it only took me two episodes to get hooked. This is definitely my newest NYC fix when I’m not around to get the real thing.
And my favorite character is Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). He is one to watch. No doubt.
Gossip Girl; Episode 7; Chuck/Blair scenes (Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick)
When The NYC so last-last season night club (as in 2007 last season) The Box is so over that not even ‘Bridge and Tunnels’ want to be spotted dead buying a drink there. The club turns something worse than bad breath into something good and rents out the location to Gossip Girl, which suddenly gives the club a whiff of something interesting. At least for tourists
On September 14th. the new episodes begun and I’m already loving it. Dan looks much better this time; He is manning up, Chuck is still in top shape and Serena is so stealing the show.
