Last night I met up with my, good, old actor friend Albert from NYC. We used to go to Esper Studio together when we both lived in the city. I relocated to LA right after graduation and Albert stayed and focused on stage work. Today he runs a young, successful theater company called The Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) with focus on Scandinavian play wrights.
I’m so proud of him and it was so great to catch up after so long. He got me all excited about the stage again and we talked about me coming to NYC for a reading with the ensemble. That would be really fun. See, in NYC you will actually have a full house for a stage reading. Last time they had a reading they counted 100 people. I kid you not! So that will probably happen. Dates are not set yet though.
After drinks on my sundeck overlooking LA, we went to two of my favorite West Hollywood hot spots; Little Door for dinner and The Roger Room for drinks… Oh, and guess who we ran into at The Roger Room? Miss Tanya and Miss Jaclyn he he…

My laptop died on Monday. It happened when I got back into NYC from Montauk. Too bad, because I was beyond amped to blog and post all my news about ‘celebrity central’ – Montauk. Seriously, when I got my morning coffee at the local breakfast place Joni’s I was in line squeezed in between a ‘no makeup’ Julie Ann Moore and Mary Kate Olsen and one other actress that I cannot remember the name of.
However, Obnoxious Apple computer failure made me spend 4 hours downtown in Soho, NYC in the Apple Store – and I’m sad to say: without any results. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw when Aidan messed with her MAC and it gave her a ’sad face’. Except in my case there was no Aidan. No, just a lot of Apple guys in blue t-shirts, with G4 iphones in hand, pulling on their tight Acne Jeans, sporting trés white sneakers talking about ‘mother boards’ and asking me questions about left and right clicks on my computer.
‘Dude! this is a MAC. It doesn’t do right or left clicks.’ Did I just say ‘dude’..?? God, I’ve really settled in California. So sorry, but when in Rome.. act like Romans ….
Anyways, there I sat… In the Apple Store in Soho still wearing my beachy outfit: tunic, hotpants, bikini, LVbag, vintage cowboy boots and sweaty as hell dreaming about pasta and rosé at Bar Piti. NYC was a 100 farenheit that day so a girl gotta get her beverages straight. And Mr… Hell, I cannot remember his name told me that ‘they were taking my baby in’ and he gave me a piece of paper slash a receipt to hold on to. Great! it’s been 5 days now and no laptop in sight. No phone calls, no delivery, no nothing…. This is almost like anticipating a phone call or text message from the guy you met last week at Rose Bar (when in NYC) or Chateau Marmont (when in LA). And not getting anything. Nada! Niente!
How sad…!!
But when I got into LA Thurday morning I dug out my old MAC from the closet and tried to blog on it. Haha. Damn it’s slow, but so far it sort of works.
Here’s a couple of shots from last nights endeavors at my fave Thursday spot Bardot:

I’m doing a fashion column on a regular basis for the new magazine FORMAT. It takes point of departure in East Coast versus West Coast fashion. This is the first issue.

Up at 6:30 am…wowza! Is this early rising becoming a habit of mine all of a sudden?
This morning I had my private acting lesson in Santa Monica and after my teacher helped me film an audition I have for a feature film. It’s a pretty big project and I really like the script so I was kind of nervous driving there. And of course LA morning traffic doesn’t help the spirit. What’s up with that anyways? Grid lock that early in the a.m. going west on the I10 should just not be legal.
Well, the lesson with Anthony – my teacher – was amazing and hard work as usual. Searching for truth and only expressing truth every moment seems simple, but it isn’t. Try it for yourself.
Then I hit home for a bite and 10 pages from a script that I have to finish tomorrow buy noon. Then on the road again, en route to Downtown where I was walking in a fashion show for a Japanese designer. An experience to put it mildly. I’ve never been to Tokyo, only Osaka, but I’m getting the idea from tonight’s show…haha… damn that’s intense!
Let me break it down: Goth meets Cyber-space pixie, meets sexy dominatrix diva, meets Twilight teens under a blue moon…
I had aprox 6 feet of metallic wire in my hair to make it stand in a Pippi Longstocking-ish way. 2 bottles of hairspray and so much white powder in my face and glue in my eyebrows that they will never look the same again… But it was fun!!!
I’m wearing: Zara cardigan, Object top with studs, Dolce&Gabbana hotpants, Steve Madden sandals

Today I had a fitting downtown at the Marriot Hotel for a fashion show tomorrow night. It’s for a Japanese designer who’s in town showing his new ideas. His look is very street and ‘Tokyo’. Fun a tad over the top and futuristic.
What’s a ‘fitting’ you ask? It’s a meeting between you and the designer where he or she has you try on different outfits from the collection to see how it looks on you. Sometimes it can take a really long time if they are behind schedule and they need to make many changes to the dresses. But today it was really fast and easy. I just pulled into valet parking at the hotel, walked to the suite and tried on a couple of outfits and then I was done. In and out in 15 mintues.
Then I had to pick up my leather jacket that I forgot at yesterday’s film shoot at some location in South LA. Damn, that area is inflamed. Just south of USC (which is one of America’s best Universities. Still, this area down there is so shady I would be very careful getting out of my car).
Anyhow, then time for a much needed jog around my neighborhood and now it’s time to prepare for acting class tomorrow morning and an audition for a feature film that I need to tape and then upload to a director who is out of town. So I’m being a good girl and staying in tonight.

Today I was booked for one day’s shoot with actor/producer/director Brian Hooks. I got up at 5 am and drove to the location in the Harbor in San Pedro one hour south of LA.
It’s always exciting to discover the dynamics and energy on a new set. What’s the pace, what’s the tone etc. etc. Today was a nice surprise. Everybody was fun, pleasant and low key and the scenes we did were pure comedy. Brian is a genius when it comes to improvising. He made us all crack up during the takes. It was a riot.
Here are a couple of shots between takes:
I’m wearing: Diane von Furstenberg green silk top, Zara leather skirt, Object suede dress, Versace tiger striped jacket,
