I pulled the plug, left Copenhagen and went up north to spend some time with my family and to celebrate my grand father’s 80’s birthday.
So this whole weekend has been all about making food, drinking tons of good wine and listening to old stories about ‘back in the days’. I’m actually pretty exhausted by now. How weird? It almost feels like my LA lifestyle is a holiday compared to the NYC and European life I lead …. Also, my family likes to party till last man standing. Often with Rolling Stones and Eagles on the sound system. I guess the love for the rock star lifestyle runs in the family…
However, I will not show any rock star picture (for a change), but a couple of shots from my weekend with the family so far.
Tomorrow morning I’m headed back into the city. Fashion Week is awaiting and I need to dig out my heels and my new Jimmy Choo handbag before I hit ‘Fashion Central’
Tar tar ’till then kids!
My grand father. How cool is this shot? He looks like an old school gangster reaching for his gun.
My sister and her husband just returned from their honeymoon and they brought their dog Tiger Lilly a present…. A sailor outfit… he he
What’s up sailor?
I totally dig the hat!
My other sister just got a kitten. I think we are naming her Avatar

I’m doing a fashion column on a regular basis for the new magazine FORMAT. It takes point of departure in East Coast versus West Coast fashion. This is the first issue.
My first night back in LA and I’m invited to the Maxim Hot 100 party at the Paramount Studios. I’ve been to quite a few events and parties in my life, but this one made a top 5 in featuring beautiful people. Wow! It was packed with very well sculpted famous boys and girls strutting their stuff all night long. It was such an LA experience on soooo many levels and a smack in the head arriving from little Copenhagen not even 12 hours earlier.’Welcome back to LA LA LAND where dreams are made of sex, power, money and a tad of silicone. Hallelujah!’
FYI: Walking the red carpet is in general a truly, scary experience. And this time was no different. This is how it goes: Your publicist or manager escorts you to the entrance of the red carpet, which in this case is aprox 30 meters long. Here you line up with the celebrities of the night, and in my case I find myself wondering WTF I’m doing there. I was right behind Quinton Aaron – Michael from ‘The Blind Side’. That man just takes ‘big’ to a whole other level. When the headset chicks call your name it’s your time to ’shine’. Tip of the day: Forget about stage fright, try not to trip in your dress or pull a wedgy because once you set foot on the red carpet, all eyes are on you. Period! And it gets even better; blinded by the lights, the press start to take your picture and shout at you: ‘Look here! Fix your hair on the right side! Your dress has a wrinkle on the left! Eyes to me’. Arrrghh!!! 100% jetlagged and like a deer in head lights, paralyzed and so ready to make a run for the hills – or at least the bar – you stand there and try to smile and look confident. And if doesn’t work then fake it till you make it… That’s the name of the LA LA LAND game…
But when all is said and done, it was a really really fun night and there was plenty of time and room to get crazy after the carpet experience.
I don’t have the pictures from the red carpet yet, but here are some snap shots from the night.
Paparazzi style numero one

Tonight I did a runway show for a huge charity event here in Hollywood at The Kodak Theater (where The Academy Awards are held every year). We were supporting Eco Friendly Fashion Design and I walked for 4 different designers. It was a blast. Really, we were so may models and the atmosphere was great.
At fashion shows there is always tons of waiting time between makeup, hair, fittings etc. I brought my script for the next feature film I’m shooting in May 2010 and had some time to go over it. I’m rehearsing tomorrow night with the director and the other actors so I want to be a little more familiar with my character. She is a craaaazyyy one! he he and I’m loving it.
But we also had plenty of time to goof around and take candid and ‘posy’ pictures of each other and ourselves.
I have sooo many pictures. But here is a little peak from backstage tonight.
On Friday I had an audition for a feature film and then I was booked for a small part in a movie starring Rachel Hunter, Michael Madsen and Tom Sizemore to name a few. We shot the scenes down in Hermosa Beach just south of LA. It was a really fun experience and it reminds me of how much I love what I do.
You probably all have the days here you go: ‘ What the h… am I doing with my life? Am I on the right path or is it time to change tracks..’ Or maybe you think that you are stuck in your current tracks. Well, my advice is that if you are doing what you like then just keep going. Nothing comes from sitting around and waiting so keep excelling yourself. Tenacity and a good spirit will take you a long way.
Anyways, Saturday I had rehearsals and fittings all day for a big charity Eco fashion Show that I’m doing in The Kodak Center here in Hollywood on Wednesday. We were about 30 models, designers and stylists hanging out, sweating like pigs in the dance studio for 4 hours. But it was fun and straight after I went for an early dinner at The Soho House. I love that place. The view is unspeakably gorgeous. There I got a phone call from another director that I booked a part in his next feature film shooting in late May. It’s a character part so I’m really excited.
here are a couple of shots from yesterday’s rehearsals:
Black Magic… Wowseee..!!! How beautiful are these two girls…?
Today I did a shoot where we went way back to the time where sparkly tights, teased hair, and an overdose of rouge on your cheek bones made the headlines. We are talking hot 80’s baby! It was flash dance meets high school sweet heart.
Here is a couple of ‘behind the scenes’ snapshots.
Deidre did the make up and Louis shot the pictures. Will make sure to post them here once I see them.
The clothes is a good mix of vintage and random stuff from my closet. I spot a leather skirt from Zara, a leather biker jacket from Object and vintage gloves. The star is an accessory I got as a gift from the last fashion show I did.
Nicolas falls in love with Sedona, and he thinks she’s the woman of his dreams. Sedona is way out of his league and has one condition. She requires a free pass every month to cheat on him. Being the hopeless romantic, Nicolas attempts to make her happy, and gives in to her demand.
Their relationship becomes a rollercoaster of great sexual highs, and dismal depressive lows. Neither of them realizes that their truly unique and dramatic arrangement has caught the attention of a watcher. This person is a serious voyeur, and is now filming their every move, with the intention of creating the perfect tragic ending.
Nicolas must find the courage to stop the watcher, save Sedona, and maybe even grow a backbone.
Here is a compilation of me at work. Or let me rephrase that: This is the more glamorous side of my work. At least it looks glamorous.
But when I’m not in front of the camera in makeup, sporting the best designers or working behind the camera shooting fabulous people and street trends there is the endless preparation of studying lines, auditioning, meetings, discussing budgets, trying to get enough sleep, eating healthy and staying sane in LA LA LAND. The later probably being the hardest part…
…And you have no idea how many trend reports and fashion articles I have written in my man’s boxers and a wife beater, no makeup, with pimples and hair in a simple pony tail. A bad visual. I know. Sorry for breaking the illusion .
Anyways, here we go:
Me shooting wearing – you will not believe it Object, Balenciaga and vintage
Going low low low for the perfect shot..
Every girl needs a break. Especially when my sweet sisters have sent me my favorite candies from Copenhagen – yay!!! love love love
My purse has a mirror connected in a leather string. Another reason to adore Balenciaga. This is shot before a fashion show.
Designer takes a bow…
Another fashion show and only one eye half ready.. what the hell is going on with the hair…??
waiting time before call time…
Red Carpet
If you have to do silk and hot pink at the same time. Well, then Hollywood is a good spot to pick. Do I channel a tad of 80’s Dynasty… ? Either way I love this designer! Her name is Lilia. Look out for her!
I’m soooo off to bed now. Had another fun night doing a fashion show and this time in Hollywood. I’m crashing, so here’s just 2 snaps. More when I wake up
The fashion designer Lilia & I backstage one minute after the show is over. I’m loving my peach silk dress. The draping and fitting is insane!
Me at home in my bedroom. make up off and then straight to bed.. night night!
