I used to hate Sundays. The day before Monday. Anticipating the beginning of a week. All stores closed, the city is dead, everybody is tugged away in their houses licking the wounds from Friday and Saturday’s events. Nothing to do, but wait…
This was when I still lived in Europe. Then I moved to NYC and everything changed. Sunday became my funday and absolute favorite day to go out on. After acting class I had some free time to enjoy the city. (yes I was in school 7 days a week). Everything was open and the New Yorkers were out enjoying themselves in the streets, the restaurants and clubs.
Then I moved to LA and haha… Well… Sunday Funday on the West Coast has many possibilities. Just like NYC. However, LA always takes the madness a bit further. And people are always more naked in LA than anywhere else. For instance one of the possibilities on a Sunday is to attend the craziness that goes on and around a pool party in Hollywood.
Check it out…

Last night I met up with my, good, old actor friend Albert from NYC. We used to go to Esper Studio together when we both lived in the city. I relocated to LA right after graduation and Albert stayed and focused on stage work. Today he runs a young, successful theater company called The Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) with focus on Scandinavian play wrights.
I’m so proud of him and it was so great to catch up after so long. He got me all excited about the stage again and we talked about me coming to NYC for a reading with the ensemble. That would be really fun. See, in NYC you will actually have a full house for a stage reading. Last time they had a reading they counted 100 people. I kid you not! So that will probably happen. Dates are not set yet though.
After drinks on my sundeck overlooking LA, we went to two of my favorite West Hollywood hot spots; Little Door for dinner and The Roger Room for drinks… Oh, and guess who we ran into at The Roger Room? Miss Tanya and Miss Jaclyn he he…

My laptop died on Monday. It happened when I got back into NYC from Montauk. Too bad, because I was beyond amped to blog and post all my news about ‘celebrity central’ – Montauk. Seriously, when I got my morning coffee at the local breakfast place Joni’s I was in line squeezed in between a ‘no makeup’ Julie Ann Moore and Mary Kate Olsen and one other actress that I cannot remember the name of.
However, Obnoxious Apple computer failure made me spend 4 hours downtown in Soho, NYC in the Apple Store – and I’m sad to say: without any results. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw when Aidan messed with her MAC and it gave her a ’sad face’. Except in my case there was no Aidan. No, just a lot of Apple guys in blue t-shirts, with G4 iphones in hand, pulling on their tight Acne Jeans, sporting trés white sneakers talking about ‘mother boards’ and asking me questions about left and right clicks on my computer.
‘Dude! this is a MAC. It doesn’t do right or left clicks.’ Did I just say ‘dude’..?? God, I’ve really settled in California. So sorry, but when in Rome.. act like Romans ….
Anyways, there I sat… In the Apple Store in Soho still wearing my beachy outfit: tunic, hotpants, bikini, LVbag, vintage cowboy boots and sweaty as hell dreaming about pasta and rosé at Bar Piti. NYC was a 100 farenheit that day so a girl gotta get her beverages straight. And Mr… Hell, I cannot remember his name told me that ‘they were taking my baby in’ and he gave me a piece of paper slash a receipt to hold on to. Great! it’s been 5 days now and no laptop in sight. No phone calls, no delivery, no nothing…. This is almost like anticipating a phone call or text message from the guy you met last week at Rose Bar (when in NYC) or Chateau Marmont (when in LA). And not getting anything. Nada! Niente!
How sad…!!
But when I got into LA Thurday morning I dug out my old MAC from the closet and tried to blog on it. Haha. Damn it’s slow, but so far it sort of works.
Here’s a couple of shots from last nights endeavors at my fave Thursday spot Bardot:

Ok. It is official! my laptop died today….
I had to hand it in to the MAC store in Soho, NYC. The boys in their bright blue cotton t-shirts at the so called `Genius Bar’ in the Apple Store in Spring Street had no idea what was wrong with my confidente AKA the silver Mac Book Pro. So, with a smile and a New York accent they took my baby out of my hands and left me and my empty Louis Vuitton handbag at the counter. Lonely and sad. No, actually devastated and depressed is a better description. 3-5 days to fix it. That’s what they said, the `New York Apple Genius boys’. Uuughhh!!!!
So, this blogging is happening from my dear master photographer friend Christel B’s monster of a computer. She is out and about town tonight while I just got back into town today after an amazing weekend in Bridge Hamptons and Montauk. Much damage was done and I’m still licking my wounds after a really fun and rock’n'roll weekend…
I don’t know what it is. But The East Coast Beach Houses and peeps just have so much more class (or is it attitude…?) than the West Coast ditto. (I guess I’m mostly comparing NYC to LA right now since ~ San Francisco is a completely different animal than LA). I think it’s because the East Coast has a much bigger diversity of people from different industries that mix at social events. It’s not only entertainment meets entertainment like in LA. And the sense of humor is also way different between East Coast and West Coast.
However, the true ‘Blue blood New Yorkers’ is also a very snobbish and a peculiar pack of inbreeds. I think that the term ‘ If a look could kill’ was invented by someone who got stared down by a New York woman in 6 inch heels and a 20 inch waist. I have never tried anything as daunting as this look. A mean demeanor. Intimidation just reached a whole new level. But I guess it’s because some of these New Yorkers know their shit. They have been around the block 40 times and don’t have time for bullshitters. So I don’t blame them. But I also find it fun and ridiculous with these mind games and social games. Because at the end of the day, seriously! Who gives!!?? I only judge people by the way they react to their circumstances and how they treat their surroundings. Blood, breed, religion and money never really caught my interest.
Anyhow… Here is a small selection of my Hamptons pics.

Hell yeah!

Yesterday was my mother’s birthday and when I spoke to her on the phone I got home sick for the first time in years. I really miss her and my family even though I just spent parts of the summer with them. I guess more wants more.
However, my day turned out brilliantly after all. I hopped on the 9:30 am Ambassador jitney with JJ and we went to Bridge Hamptons where we spent the day before we took the car to Montauk for night time party adventures at The Crows Nest (A brand new hot spot in Montauk. You def wanna check it out).
This is the break down:
Gorgeous Weather. Check! Gorgeous beach house with ocean view. Check! One fantastic beach party after another. Check! Beautiful New Yorker friends. Check! Keeping my tan in check. Check. Lot’s of rosé on ice. Double check!

Beach party number one in Bridge Hamptons. It probably wasn’t as cold as it looks on this picture, but I just really like my new jacket. And after Ibiza my Viking blood has gotten used to the heat so any chilled breeze makes my jump for a sweater.

The hostess Daria in Montauk and I were wearing almost the same dress and shoes by coincidence. Ehhh….! Could have been embarrassing, but we just made fun of it and took of to the Crow’s Nest Party.

The Rock Star style continues:
I left Ibiza and got into Copenhagen very early Monday morning and had 1,5 day in my hometown before NYC was calling my name. It was an insanely busy time and after a farewell dinner and rosé with my partner in crime Tine at Victor (A classic Copenhagen spot) I decided to stay up all night to catch up on work and re-pack. Who needs sleep anyways, right?
After 2 months of traveling my usual 5 minutes ‘throwing things into a random suit case’ type of packing didn’t quite work. I had a lot of stuff. No really – a lot!! And I had to use my detail oriented skills (geeesh, do I have those..??) to make everything fit into the waaaay to small space my suit cases hold. Yes in plural. More than one suitcase.
So when the sun began to rise over beautiful Copenhagen I woke up my mother and stepfather to say our goodbyes for this time. I always stay with my family when in Denmark. I totally love their place and we get along very well.
They love to cook, drink exquisite wines and during the winter we light a fire in the fireplace. It’s such a great feeling to feel like the kid in the house a couple of weeks a year. And their place is huge so we don’t get in each others hair. It’s the perfect setup and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
So no sleep and still on my rosé back burner buzz I hop on the 6 am flight to NYC and doze off immediately. 8 hours later I’m in my favorite city in the world and more than ready for new endeavors.
Yesterday I crashed completely after sushi and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. This rock star was burned out after hectic travel arrangements and she replaced the high heels with comfy PJs.
Now it’s morning here in the West Village and I’m sitting on Café Gray Dog having my morning single shot, non-fat latte and getting ready for the first day of the rest of my life. The sun is out. I think it’s going to be a good one…
Here are a couple of pics from Copenhagen just before left the beautiful city:

Leaving Ibiza was hard. Period. Could definitely have used a couple of days more on the beautiful island. But work calls. So I’m Copenhagen bound as we speak. But luckily we had the whole day at The Blue Marlin chilling on sun beds and doing the infamous long lunch before we took it directly to the airport. I’m still wearing my bikini under my tunic and I have sand in unspeakable areas.
Right now, I’m stuck in Las Palmas waiting for my connecting flight to Scandi Candy land. A fog this morning in Mallorca has delayed all the air traffic a couple of hours. But it’s all good in the hood. Tine and I are relaxing in the lounge with snacks and wine already planning our next meeting in NYC during fashion week or maybe in LA in October.
Here are a couple of more pics in random order from the last couple of days…

It’s my last night here in Ibiza and I’m devastated. I could stay here at least one month. This island is addicting. The sea, the people, the restaurants, the clubs and chilled ambience is right up my alley.
I’m staying here with an amazing crowd from all over the world. The last couple of days have been an abundance of top dinners, fun parties, clubs, long lunches, boat trips and some work. What I love about the time we live in now is, that it’s possible to do these trips where you are having the time of your life while still working. I feel extremely blessed to be in a spot where this is possible. It gives me a sense of freedom and joi de vivre that’s beyond.
And Ibiza is way more than crazy drugged out people, trance and Pacha. It has a beauty that is striking and it makes me want to come back for more. And more…
Tomorrow I’m going back to Copenhagen for one day. Then I’m participating in my father’s conference in Odense about Artificial Life and Living Technology (talk about a change of scenery) and Wednesday I’m off to NYC. I’m researching for my next book.
Here are a few pics. I will share more, when I have time. We just got back from a boat trip to Formentera and now we are going to dinner.

Going to Ibiza for a bit and as usual I’m in a rush when packing and I haven’t got the faintest idea what I brought here. Why am I this unorganized? And why does it surprise me every time that I’m unorganized…?
But it’s Ibiza and as long as you like the beach, rosé, music, tattoos and long lunches in Formentera I guess you’ll be fine.
I’m here to hang with a beautiful bunch of friends from NYC who have a house here. And it’s the most insanely amazing spot. I kid you not! Will take some pics and show you as we go a long.
Here’s my no make-up-very-tired-travel-look’ flying from Copenhagen via Madrid to Eivissa:
